To make the star (make 2)

Using yellow ch 5 stitches. Slst to make a ring

R1 : dc 10 stitches into the centre of the ring (10 stitches)


R2 : dc inc into each stitch (20 stitches)


R3 : (dc, dc inc) repeat 10 times (30 stitches)


R4 : (dc 2, dc inc) repeat 10 times (40 stitches)


R5 : dc, dc inc, (dc 3, dc inc) repeat 9 times, dc 2 (50 stitches)

R6 : (dc 4, dc inc) repeat 10 times (60 stitches)

R7 : (dc 5, dc inc) repeat 10 times (70 stitches)

R8 : dc 2, dc inc, (dc 6, dc inc) repeat 9 times, dc 4 (80 stitches)

R9 - 10 : dc 14, ch 1, turn (14 stitches)

R11 : dec, dc 10, dec, ch 1 turn (12 stitches)

R12 : dec, dc 8, dec, ch 1 turn (10 stitches)

R13 : dec, dc 6, dec, ch 1 turn (8 stitches)

R14 : dec, dc 4, dec, ch 1 turn (6 stitches)

R15 : dec, dc 2, dec, ch 1 turn (4 stitches)

R16 : dec x 2. Fasten off

Going back to round 8, count 3 stitches from the last stitch of round 9. Repeat rounds 9 - 16 a further 4 times (beginning in the 3rd stitch).

To make up

 Add safety eyes to the front of the star. Dc around the star, leaving a gap to stuff. Add stuffing so the star is firm. Close the gap.
